Dr. Kemp is trained in the medical & surgical treatment of glaucoma, cataracts, cornea, diabetic care, and refractive surgery. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, graduating with honors. Dr. Kemp served his internship at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo, NY, and completed his Ophthalmology residency training under the guidance of several refractive surgery pioneers at Louisiana State University at New Orleans.
As Dr. Kemp’s patient, you can be assured that he will accompany you through all of the stages of your treatment, surgery, and post operative care. “I believe that being a good listener is the greatest compliment I can pay to my patients.” Dr. Kemp wants to make sure that his patients have all of the necessary information to make an educated decision about their eye care.
Dr. Kemp practices general Ophthalmology with an emphasis on the latest technology in cataract surgery & intraocular lens implants as well as refractive surgery. He has been performing LASIK surgery since 1997, using the VISX Star4 excimer laser to ensure safe, effective treatment for his patients. Other areas of focus are diagnosing and treating all forms of glaucoma and treating diabetic eye diseases.
In his leisure time, Dr. Kemp enjoys traveling, snowboarding, cycling, and outdoor activities with his wife Meri, their 2 girls, & his chocolate Lab Moe.
